The introduction of solid foods to your baby can feel like a giant jump forward. After all, they are used to having breast milk or formula for the first few months of their life; Will even interest them for dry cereals and clean fruit?
Our baby feeding is a rough idea of how much to feed your child in the first year, but don’t worry if your little eats more or less than suggestion of different foods – every family is different.

While baby cereal is traditional first food in the United States, you don’t have to introduce food to your child in any special order. If you want to start with clean fruit, vegetables or even tofu, go for it.
Just remember that it is always a good idea to touch the bases with your pediatrics before starting solid foods, especially if you plan to get an adventurous!

4 to 6 months
The U.AP Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) advises mothers to be exclusively breastfed for the first 6 months, but you can start solids as soon as your baby is in developmental development (more about it below).
“Safety is my primary concern when starting solid food,” says Chandani Dezure, MD, FAAP, Pediatrician certificate and member of the Medical Advisory Board for Bebecenter. “I do not recommend the introduction while babies can’t keep your heads and ideally show signs, they can move food from the front to the back of the mouth. After that it should be fun for babies and parents. New exposures and textures. They are great for babies to try to try and They often want to eat from parent plates, which is a great way to interest them and new food! “
There are several methods for introducing solid food to your baby. You can go to the traditional route to give your children’s puree. Or you can try your baby ice unscrewing method, the method that stimulates straight into the soft, easy to eat your fingers.
“When my oldest started, our doctor said he started tablespoons and looked forward, but my boy ate a whole jar and want more,” says more, “says Babel community Member RLR0711. “I think it really depends on your baby. If he seems full, then they don’t push him. But if they want a whole jar and think I can handle it, I’d say it’s okay.”

The signs of your baby is ready for solid food:
- Can hold your head and sit upright in a tall chair
- Shows a significant weight gain (doubled weight of birth) and weighs at least 13 kilos
- I can close my mouth around a spoon
- Can move food from the front to the back of the mouth

- Sprinkled vegetables (such as peas and squash)
- Trusted Fruits (Apples, Bananas, Peaches)
- Brushed meat (chicken, pork and beef)
- Semi-liquid, Žilatna cereal (avoid cereals from rice; instead choose the cereal made with oat or barley)
- A little unsweetened yoghurt (no milky milk to age 1)

- Baby this age usually have four to six feeding milk milk or a philula per day (4 to 6 ounces of bottles if you are feeding bottles).
- When starting solids, start with a very small amount of one ingredients of cleaned food (about 1 to 2 tablespoons) once or twice a day.
- Gradually increase the amount of food that you give your baby 1 to 2 tbsp. If you give cereals, mix it with breast milk or formula, so consistency is not too thick.
- In 4 months you can start giving snacks that are easy for baby without teeth chew. Arrowroot cookies are one of the first proposed babies for babies, and most snacks of baby will have a recommended age on the label.
Feeding tips:
- If your baby won’t eat what you offer for the first time try again in a few days.
- Some experts recommend that you introduce new food one by one. Wait three to five days, if possible, before they offer another new food. (If your baby or family has allergies history, talk to the baby health care provider about a certain time.) It is also a good idea to write food in baby samples. If they have an unwanted reaction, the food log will make it easy to determine the cause.
- Uncertain levels of poisonous heavy metals – Arsen, lead, cadmium and live – were found in a shop purchased for baby food (including organic brands). Here’s how to avoid heavy metals in baby food.
- There are several surprising foods that are out of the baby table; Honey and cow’s milk are among food that are not safe for babies.
- Although it can be difficult to hold routines in this period, try to follow regular feeding and sleeping schedule for your 5- and 6-month-old.
7 to 9 months
Signs that your baby is ready for fingers for fingers:
- Pick up items with your thumb and forefinger (grip)
- I can transfer items from one hand to another
- Moves the jaw in the chewing movement
- Easier to swallow food
- Does not push the food out of the mouth

Feeding tips:
- As your baby becomes more comfortable with eating, you can start adding various foods and increase your meal frequency. In 8 months, it is typical that your baby eat one to two meals a day.
- Whenever you introduce new food, start with a very small amount (teaspoon or two) to allow your baby to get used to a new taste and texture.
- The work schedule and 8-month old / and 8 months can help your baby to follow a healthy routine.

10 to 12 months

Feeding tips:
- Up to 8 months or something, babies often have three meals and start adding more snacks.
- Continue to offer a wide selection of fruits, vegetables, cereals and food rich in proteins. As your baby’s nutrition skills improve, they gradually introduce more textures and soft fingers food.
It is good to serve your baby what the rest of the family eats – just look after the extra sugars, which are not recommended for kids below 2. Check to make a nutritional label, and try to remove food trying 1 gram or more added sugar.
