Any time Ikea releases a new line, we are ready to hit shops. This time does not differ, even if this collection celebrates its 40. birthday.

Eighth Iteration Lead Collection Stockholm Powered 10. April with nearly 100 new pieces in the market. This collection, created to display “best of” IKEA, contains everything, from the chocolate velvet couch to curved wooden dining rooms, and all characteristic easily assembling.

“As the city was named, this collection is deeply rooted by nature and shaped by combating Stockholm environments,” says Karin Gustavsson, a creative leader near the forest, islands and waterways, and we were the same in our designs. ”

Expect to see a lot of wood, forest prints and return of rattan, favorite material from Iterations 2017. years.

“We wanted this collection to feel like a home collected over time, even if you buy all pieces at once,” says Nike Karlsson, a designer at the public. “It’s about creating that organic, living – in feeling.”

IKEA would not be launched without certain creative engineering. This collection contains the first-gentle chandelier, which was on Gustavson’s wish list, and one of the most difficult design products. The chandelier even comes with white gloves for seamless, finger mounting.

“I knocked our designer Nike Karlsson to design him,” says Gustavsson. “He went through many iterations, even designed chandelier in the tree, but evolved and found his shape as elegant, but also quite retro feeling, glasses.”

Another favorite product? The Status Bronze Candlestick holding a conical candle on one side and in the form of Tealight on another.

“A light piece, but with a weight that offers beauty in the home,” says Gustavsson.

With 96 products in this collection, this Iteration Stockholm is still the largest.

“While previous stockholm collections focused on coordination of similar colors, materials and tones, this collection is a little different,” Gustavsson says. “There are greater variety of materials, with combinations that create new and interesting phrases.”

Like so many IKEA, many of these products are designed to solve common problems, such as the furniture can be able to be equipped to make their furniture to be ruled to be equal to be equal in order to be able to be straight.
