How was it?
I have mixed feelings regarding the method of cleaning 6/10. I liked simplicity of six daily tasks and 10 weeks of weeks, but I did not feel like all jobs Barton said they were best to suit my lifestyle.
In addition, I liked that the clear structure of the two lists helped me to be focused on the task, but he was frustrated that it was still a lot of time for me to fill out lists.
Here’s my sincere thoughts on the list 6/10: What I liked and what I didn’t like.
Lists are simple
I often delay certain jobs, because I am too busy fastening on the main list Do-Dos. I overwhelm before I started. The same, simplicity of six daily tasks and 10 weeks of weeks made a higher goal of the pure home feeling available.
The lists helped me to be focused
As much as I hate to admit, sometimes I start cleaning my kitchen counter and somehow finish cleaning the closet for 30 minutes later. The Barton cleaning method helped me stay focused, not to turn away with extra, often low priority, tasks.
The lists helped me the priority of the jobs I had neglected
I consider myself a “neat” person, but I wouldn’t say cleanliness that my fort. Consequently, the 6/10 list followed as a type of responsibility partner for me. He felt like Barton tapped on my shoulder, reminding me that it had passed a little time since I dared and my car could probably use and well clean.
The lists were little time
For me, the daily tasks took over anywhere from five to 15 minutes, which means after the schedule, every day should last about an hour cleaning.
Weekly tasks varied, less than five minutes to clean pet containers for 30 minutes for the bathroom. In the future I will spread the weekly tasks for a few days, but I don’t think I will continue to spend an hour every day on six daily tasks.
Lists did not match my lifestyle
I think the 6/10 list has a good bone, but it must be a little adjustment to better accommodations of my life. For example, tenants live below me, so I won’t do every day, and one loading of laundry is a little excessive for me and my dog.
The same goes for Barton’s weekly list; I think I will not clean my refrigerator every week, but I would definitely need a priority to determine deep cleaning your bathroom.
