Every parent is unique

Every BabyCenter member has the right to share and celebrate their unique parenting journey. Our community is a place of personal free expression, where we value the honest exchange of ideas and experiences with support.

Responsibility starts with you

Remember that everything you read in our community areas comes from other members. Because our community is so large, BabyCenter does not monitor or verify information posted by our members. We rely on you to notify us of violations. Information posted in our groups, including advice and opinions regarding medical matters, is the responsibility of the members who create the posts.

To keep this a safe place where differences in philosophies, beliefs, opinions and parenting styles coexist, follow these simple rules.

1. No personal attacks.

2. No racism or hate speech.

3. No attacks on sexual orientation or gender identity.

4. No medical misinformation.

5. Do not intentionally disrupt the Community.

6. No bullying or harassment.

7. No illegal activities.

8. No pornographic material.

9. Do not solicit or disclose personal information or private content.

10. No solicitation, advertising or marketing, except in designated areas.

Note: Our Terms of Use and Community Guidelines apply to all of your participation in all areas, public and private, of our website.

BabyCenter reserves the right to deny access to any member at any time for any reason, with or without warning. We have no obligation to delete content that you find personally inappropriate or offensive. We reserve the right to remove any content we deem inappropriate for our site, with or without warning. We reserve the right to change these rules with or without notice at any time.

By participating in our Community, you agree to abide by the spirit and letter of our guidelines and to submit to their interpretation and application by our staff. BabyCenter staff will enforce our Community Guidelines.

Violation of these rules or our Terms of Use may result in a user being blocked or prohibited from participating in any or all areas of our community, having your membership terminated and/or having your content removed from our site. To appeal a moderation decision, please email community@babycenter.comOpens a new window with your username, a link to the post or a screenshot from the chat, and an explanation of your reasoning. Messages with profanity will result in a permanent ban.

We are committed to providing a safe and legal online environment. In accordance with applicable laws in general and with the EU Digital Services Act (DSA) in particular, you may report illegal content you see on this platform by sending an email to community@babycenter.comOpens a new window. Illegal content refers to material that violates the laws of EU member states. This may include, but is not limited to, material for child exploitation, cybercrime, fraud or incitement to violence.

In case of imminent threat or harm, we recommend that you contact the local police directly.

Group owners can set additional rules within their group; those rules do not override the Community Guidelines and BabyCenter staff will not enforce those additional rules.
