As much as we love the return of warm, spring time, we also do not refuse the return of many pests that disappear in colder months. Fortunately, now there is a lot to prevent infestation later – you just need to know what to watch out.

We recently connected with several experts to set up their top tips for maintaining the most common spring pests in the bay.

Ants

If you ever had ants in your home, you know how annoying they are to be kept but not impossible. The first step is to confirm that ants are a problem.

“(I’m looking for) signs,” says the associate certified Entomologist Shannon Harlow-Ellis. “Stases ants, small piles of sawdust (carpenter ants), or food for food near food and water source.”
