8 kitchen color trends you will see in 2025, according to designers

If 2025 inspires you to give your kitchen a makeover, you’ll probably be thinking about the best way to make it happen without hitting your budget too hard. Sometimes a simple coat of paint on the walls or cabinets can transform your kitchen with ease, but choosing which color to display is a whole new (even scary) decision. With so many color options, examining annual trends is a great starting point to help you figure out which color suits your space.

“I think this year we’re going to see warmth and personality be front and center,” Courtney Cole, an interior designer with Tilecloud, says.

Keep reading to see which color designers believe will be the top choice for kitchens in 2025.

Terracotta

Terracotta has taken over kitchens in previous years, and 2025 seems to be no exception. The color has remained a staple for many because of its warm, inviting color. Konue, Cole is a fan of incorporating muted and soft toned versions of the shade.

“I love earthy orange-browns, bringing warmth and vibrancy to kitchens while still giving it an understated touch,” says Cole. “It pairs beautifully with the natural wood tones and textured tiles, creating a cozy yet sophisticated space that feels grounded and timeless and perfect for 2025.”

Deep green

For those who like a calm, refreshing atmosphere in their kitchens, opting for green accents is the move for this coming year, according to our designers. Cole says rich, muted greens (like olives) are perfect choices for cabinetry or accents. Cole explains how they can add a natural and relaxing feel and even make a room look luxe when paired with brushed brass hardware.

Teri Simone, head of design for Nieu Cabinet Doors, also notes that greens are on the horizon, especially moody, earthy versions that are remarkably versatile.

“Pairing these tones with natural bits seems to give off an old-world feel, making the space feel like it’s slowing down from the hustle and bustle of the outside world, creating a welcoming feel.

Sandy Beige

For those who prefer a less saturated approach to their kitchens, don’t worry: Cole believes that neutral tones like sandy beige are making a comeback, but with a modern twist.

“The shade is warm and versatile, creating a soft, cohesive look. It works especially well as a backdrop for bold countertones or colorful accents,” explains Cole.

Neutral kitchens are not just for minimalists – anyone who wants to bring a classic, spacious, timeless approach should keep this color if you are doing a kitchen.

Warm Greige

Keeping with the neutral trend, Greige is another top kitchen color for 2025. Bringing a warmer feeling by mixing beige and gray, Greige is ideal for kitchens and can be collaborated with a wide range of styles and accents, giving it character. Cole says they are looking for warm giga shades to give the kitchen depth without taking over the room.

He also advises pairing it with a metallic finish (think brass, gold or copper) to create a timeless and sophisticated aesthetic.

Dusty pink

Dusty pink might not be the first color to hit kitchen art, but Simone says it’s an unexpected, versatile neutral for 2025. She believes a lighter approach offers elegant energy and warmth without overpowering the room.

“It is adaptable and can work with Calcutta marble tones, mixed metals such as brushed nickel and brass, as well as wooden floors to create a cozy and inviting kitchen,” explains Simone.
